Michel Linssen (The Hague, 1960) started his career as a rock photographer in the early eighties. He worked for Dutch magazines such as Muziekkrant Oor, Popfoto/Muziekexpres and Hitkrant. For the Dutch daily newspaper De Telegraaf he made photos of hundreds of rock concerts and for the Dutch edition of Playboy Linssen was responsible for the photos that were published in the series “The world according to…”. His photos were also published on the covers of Jan Douwe Kroeskes “2 Meter sessies” and on the covers of Dutch cult group 'Hallo Venray'. During the '2 Meter sessies' in 1992, a series of acoustic concerts for Dutch radio and television, Linssen photographed Kurt Cobain.
